“After 6 years, the jury gave me my life back.” – Johnny Depp shares emotional note after winning defamation suit against ex-wife, Amber Heard.

Popular and talented actor famous for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean, Johnnie emerged victorious in his defamation suit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

After the jury gave it’s verdict on Wednesday, June 1st, Johnny Depp was awarded $15million. $10million in compensatory damages and $5million in punitive damages.

The actor took to his Facebook account to share a 2-paged note concerning his win in the defamation suit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

In his note, the actor claimed that false and very serious criminal allegations were laid against him which triggered a lot hateful contents.

However, he noted that after 6 years, the jury gave him his life back.

He also said;

“From the beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something I owed to my children…..”

He ended his 2-paged note with a Latin phrase, “veritas numquam perit” which means “the truth never perishes”.
