The federal government of Nigeria has finally reached an agreement with the members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities(NASUU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU).

According to the ministry of labour and employment, the agreement with the university workers will lead to resumption of academic activities in federal Universities.

The ministry disclosed this news on Friday, February 12.

Federal Government Finally Reaches Agreement With NASUU and SSANU members.

Following the agreement, the government has revealed that both NASUU and SSANU members will announce the end of their nationwide strike on or before Monday, February 15th.

Reports gathered say that media reports which claimed that the meeting held by the federal government and the members of NASUU and SSANU on February 11 are false.

According to the statement;

“The meeting did not end in a deadlock. Rather agreements were reached on some issues with timelines and these were documented as Memorandum of understanding and given to leaders of the two unions(NASUU and SSANU) to go and consult with their people with a view to calling off the strike latest by Monday, February 15th,
