Celebrities pay tribute to the veteran actress as she’s finally laid to rest on Friday.

Nollywood actors like Saheed Balogun and Fred Amata have paid their last respect to the late veteran actress, Rachel Oniga as she was laid to rest on Friday after a private funeral cermony in Lagos.

The Nollywood actress was pronounced dead on the 30th of July 2021 after battling with heart related illness.

Tributes have poured ever since her death was announced, notably from her colleagues in the movie industry.

Saheed Balogun described Oniga as an articulate woman who rendered helpful advices to movie directors on set. He also urged Nigerians to pray to God to forestall the untimely deaths in the movie industry.

“Madam Rachel Oniga will be sorely missed; she was a nice and caring woman, so articulate.

“May her soul rest in peace. But we need serious prayers in the industry, the rate at which we are recording deaths is too alarming,” he said.

Fred Amata couldn’t hide his shock when he heard of Oniga’s dismiss, as he described her as a unique woman in the industry.

“Rachel Oniga’s death was so shocking; she was an enigma. May her soul find eternal rest,” he said.

Rachel Oniga was a respected actress in the movie industry-a career which started back in 1993.

Many years later, she had featured in notable films such as “sango”, “onome” to mention but a few.
