The world class midfielder will be unavailable for the crunch encounter against Juventus and Southampton.

N’golo Kante will miss Chelsea’s Champions League match against Juventus on Wednesday and upcoming Premier League match against Southampton after contacting coronavirus.

The France midfielder was just getting back to his best form after a groin injury had kept him out for a while, but will now spend another time on the sidelines.

Chelsea’s manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed during a press conference ahead of their Champions League clash with Juventus that the midfielder has tested positive to Covid-19.

Which means Kante would also be unavailable for their domestic clash against Southampton this coming weekend.

Reece James, Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount would also be unavailable on Wednesday due to injuries.

“Christian, Reece and Mason are out,” Tuchel said.

“N’Golo, unfortunately, tested positive and he needs to quarantine and follow the government protocols.”

Kante could also be a doubt to make the lastest France squad that would be competing at the UEFA Nations League finals.
