The unfortunate incident took place in the early hours of today.
A dozen worshippers have been killed by Armed bandits who stormed a mosque in Niger state, on Thursday, 9th of December, 2021.
According to reports, the unfortunate incident happened while these worshippers were observing their morning prayers.
At least 15 were killed while dozens sustained severe injuries following the attack on a mosque at Ba’are village, Mashegu local government areas of Niger state.
Confirming the incident, the Niger state commissioner of police, Monday Bala Kuryas revealed that no fewer than 9 people were killed in the attack.
“Niger state police command has already drafted security personnel to the affected area to further safeguard lives and properties in that community,” he said.
However, he has promised that the perpetrators would be brought to book, while security agencies have been discharged to the area to safeguard the lives of people and properties.
