The Economic and Financial Crime Commission(EFCC) has allegedly arrested the former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha.

Rochas Okorocha was said to have been arrested at his Unity House private office around 4pm on Tuesday, April 13th, Premium Times reports.

It was reported that the senator was arrested after a five-hour standoff with EFCC personnels who trailed him to the location.

His sudden arrest came after declines to honour several invitations from the financial crime agency, EFCC.

The arrest Rochas Okorocha is said to be reportedly connected to the alleged monumental graft which supposedly took place during his tenure as governor of Imo state.

The spokesperson of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren confirmed the arrest of Rochas Okorocha to Vanguard newspaper.

He said;

“Okorocha has been arrested by our men.
