Dyslexia is referred to as a blessing in disguise as a curse.

What is Dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a learning disability. This word comes from the Greek language which means difficulty with words. People with dyslexia have trouble with reading, writing and spelling.

If you have watched the movie “Like Stars On Earth” an Indian movie to be precise, it shows that just because a person is dyslexic doesn’t mean the person is a failure.

Parents and Teachers get fed up when dealing with a dyslexic child. They give up so effortlessly, and they don’t look at the chance that child might have.
I know a lot of famous people who have dyslexia, who used it in the right context and it became an advantage for them. For example, we have Albert Einstein, Will Smith, Jace Norman, Bruce Jenner, Bill Gates and many more.
Just because you have dyslexia doesn’t mean you can’t be successful. You might find this as your weakness but you are not aware of the many strengths you possess.

Even though having dyslexia looks like a curse, there are so many good part to it. A person suffering from dyslexia see things differently from others. They are ambitious, persistent and focused. They are unlikely to succumb to peer pressure. Daydreaming is a common thing to them, which brings about curiosity and creativity in dyslexics.

Now the answer to your question ” How do you turn your dyslexia to a blessing”.
1)The very first thing you need to know is, there are many people suffering from dyslexia all over the world, with which many have used it to their advantage, so you need to believe that if they can do it, you can also.
2) You might be termed the dullard in the class, but trust me when I say there is more to you than the eyes can see. Find your inner ability and put the effort in there.
3) There are a whole lot of careers, dyslexics can flourish in. We have: Psychology, Architecture, Culinary Arts, Electronics, Sports and many more. Go into the field that’s suitable for you and just maybe, you will be the Albert Einstein of your time.

Keep this in mind that, dyslexia doesn’t define you as a person, it’s a minor part of you and you’ve accepted it, but it’s not going to stop there, you are going to turn your dyslexia into a gift.

If you are reading this now, and you know someone suffering from dyslexia, they need your patience and support. If they are well supported, they can become successful people, the likes of Will Smith, Jace Norman, Tom Cruise, all of whom are dyslexic. However, when not supported, they may suffer mental health issues, depression, get involved in crimes and become threats to the society.
