Husband strangles, dismembers, and blends 39-year-old wife with a blender

Ongoing investigations have revealed “concrete indications of mental illness” underlying the case.

Kristina Joksimovic, a former Miss Switzerland finalist, has allegedly been killed and dismembered by her 41-year-old husband.

According to reports, the 39-year-old was said to have been strangled, first, to death by her husband, then dismembered using jigsaw and garden shears.

After she was dismembered by her husband, her remains were allegedly blended using a blender, according to reports by the Daily Mail.

The couple got married in 2017, and have two children to show for it.

Four weeks before her death, Kristina posted pictures of ‘a couple’s getaway’ on her Instagram page.

Her body was found in February 13, in Binningen, near Basel, Switzerland.

Her husband, who is identified only by his fake name, Thomas, on social media, had his appeal for release from custody rejected on Thursday by a Federal Court in Lausanne after admitting to killing his wife.

According to Thomas, he killed Kristina in self-defense after she allegedly came at him with a knife before admitting to having dismembered her in an attempt to cover up his tracks.

An autopsy report has revealed that she had been strangled before dying. It has also been determined by the report that the body was dismembered in a laundry room with a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears.

Her body parts were then chooped with a hand blender, ‘pureed’, and dissolved in a chemical solution local outlet.

Thomas, who is a Swiss national, was reported arrested a day after her remains were found.

Investigators have said that Thomas displayed a ‘conspicuously high level of criminal energy’ in their assessment.

They also cited a ‘lack of empathy and cold-bloodedness after killing his wife’, which is evident from his effort to cover up her death. He was also said to have exhibited ‘sadistic-sociopathic traits’.

Kristina was a finalist in the 2008 Miss Switzerland competition after she had won the Miss Northwest Switzerland in 2003.
