Nigerian superstar singer, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, has shown admiration for a portrait of him drawn by a Nigerian artist.

The artist, Amos Osemwengie, took to his Instagram page to share a video and pictures of the beautiful piece. In addition, he explains the inspiration plus concept behind the portrait which fortunately for him, got the singer’s attention.

Amos believes that Wizkid’s Made In Lagos project is the singer’s most solid project yet and as such, the portrait documents the project.

According to him, his inspiration was as a result of the album having a unique blend of jazz, reggae and soul music embodied with afrobeats.

“We can think about this piece as my first attempt at infusing both art forms.” Amos said of his work.

“As inspired by such a gorgeous body of work which encompasses the embodiment of Afrobeats with a tease of jazz, reggae and soul music all through the entire project i have infused every element i find exciting to the album and also every visual element which i find describes the Artist’s artistry”.

On sighting the beautiful piece, Wizkid showed support for the artist. The singer took to his Instagram story to share the portrait, while also paying a visit to the artists’ comment section.

“Want this! Love!♥️” he wrote.
