Additionally, Davido is the most followed Nigerian on Instagram. The top Afrobeat singer, record label owner, and songwriter is arguably one of Africa’s biggest artists.

Flavour

Chinedu Okoli, popularly known by his stage name Flavour N’abania or Flavour; has a whopping 2.33 million subscribers. He has the third-highest number of YouTube subscribers in Nigeria. 

Flavour N’abania is an impeccable singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is well known for his Highlife genre of music.

SamSpedy

Samuel Oluwafemi Asubiojo, better known by his stage name SamSpedy, is a top Nigerian comedian. His channel has 2.19 million subscribers making him number four on the list.

Samspedy is widely known for putting smiles on people faces through his skits. Nonetheless, it will interest you to know that the comedian is a graduate of Medicine from the Zaporozhye State Medical University, in Ukraine. 

Wizkid

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, famously known as  Wizkid or Starboy, is an ace Nigerian musician and songwriter.

Big Wiz has 2.11 million subscribers. This makes him the fifth on our list.

Wizkid is one of the most decorated Afrobeat superstars and arguably one of the best artists in Africa. 

Burna Boy

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, is a Grammy award winner. The versatile artist is a rapper, singer, songwriter and dancer. Burna boy is number six on the list as he has 2.2 million subscribers.

Burna boy received the highest award in Rivers State, for winning a Grammy Award for his Twice As Tall Album. He is popularly known as the African Gaint and he stays twice as tall.

Tekno

Augustine Miles Kelechiwidelyy known for his stage name Tekno, is a super talented producer, dancer, singer and songwriter.

Tekno is the seventh on our list as he has 1.9 million YouTube subscribers.

Yemi Alade

Yemi Alade retains her real name on stage. She is number eight on the list as she has 1.88 million subscribers. 

Yemi Alade is a talented singer, songwriter and actress who won the Peak Talent Show in 2009. In 2014, her hit single ‘Johnny’ made serious wave. She was the first female artist to have 1 million YouTube subscribers. 

P-Square 

The iconic Okoye twins (Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye) are number nine on the list.

Though the duo parted ways in 2017, and are now known individually as Rudeboy and Mr P, their P-Square YouTube channel still has 1.75 million subscribers. It is the ninth most subscribed channel in Nigeria. 

Individually, Rudeboy (Paul Okoye) has 1.26 million subscribers and Mr P (Peter Okoye) has 431 thousand subscribers.

Sinach

Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, is the only gospel artist to make the list. The ace singer is better known by her stage name Sinach. The gospel singer extraordinaire has 1.71 million  YouTube subscribers. Therefore, she has the tenth highest subscribers in Nigeria. 

Moreover, Sinach is the first African singer-songwriter to top the Billboard Christian Songwriter chart for 12 consecutive weeks.

The above-mentioned names are the ten top most subscribed channels in Nigeria. They lead according to the order they appear. Kindly note that this list was compiled based on the number of subscribers in November 2021.

Finally, it will interest you to know that among the new artists making wave, Ckay has the highest number of subscribers.

The ‘Love Nwantiti’ crooner, has a whopping 1.49 million YouTube subscribers. It appears there is a megastar on the rise.
