Wonderful and Historic News for Nigeria, as one of its own, Okonjo Iweala, Nigerian former prime minister, finally receives appointment as the next Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The body of the organization released a statement via their official twitter handle, that indicated that Okonjo Iweala was appointed after final decisions were reached during a General Council meeting that took place on Monday, February 15th.

Repots gathered confirm that the decision entailed a selection process which included 8 persons, each person from different countries across the world.
