Lionel Messi recently revealed that he rejected offers from numerous European clubs to join Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise Inter Miami. Messi told Mundo Deportivo that the only team in Europe for whom he would have considered leaving PSG was Barcelona.

Despite receiving enticing offers from other European clubs, Messi didn’t even consider them. His main goal was to return to Barcelona, and if it wasn’t possible, he planned to leave European football after winning the World Cup. This was a decision he felt was necessary at this point in his career.

Messi is looking forward to finishing his career in a different surrounding after joining Inter Miami. He stated his excitement about experiencing the MLS on a daily basis, enjoying a new atmosphere, and taking on new challenges. Despite the shift, Messi’s determination to win and perform at his best remains unaltered. However, he also stated that he is looking forward to approaching the game with better peace of mind.

Messi’s contract with PSG expires this month, and he is now a free agent, ready to embark on the next chapter of his remarkable career.
