MTN users lament over service outage

The service outage occurred at about 2:30pm today with many unable to use the network.

MTN subscribers throughout the country have experienced service outage and are unable to connect with their loved ones across the country.

According to the Punch newspapers, this service outage occurred at 2:30pm on Saturday, with customers claiming that they are unable to call, text or use other services on the network.

Some of these customers have gone on social media to express the difficulties they are facing in using the network. However, they have switched to other network providers to connect with loved ones for the main time.

“Is this world coming to an end? I can’t make calls with MTN at the moment…better confess your sins before it’s too late,” @iamjudin1911 wrote on twitter.

While efforts to reach MTN superiors have proved abortive, MTN Nigeria has posted on its official Facebook page that the situation is under control.

“Some of our customers are having difficulty connecting to the network today. We’re looking into this and are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused,” they wrote.

As at 6:30pm though, some subscribers claimed that the issue has been resolved, while some are still experiencing difficulties.

MTN is the largest network provider in Nigeria. With a total of 77.35 million subscribers, it is required that they attend to the issue swiftly so subscribers can continue to enjoy the network.
