The Brazilian has ended speculations about his future as he signs a new contract with the Ligue 1 giants.

Neymar has signed a new contract with Paris Saint Germain, which would keep him tied to the club till 2025.

The 27-year old moved to the French capital from Barcelona in 2017 and has now ended speculations of a move back to La Liga after committing his future to Pochettino’s side.

Since his arrival at the Parc des Princes, the French outfit has seen increased success in European competitions. Last season, the Ligue 1 giants made it to the finals of the champions league but lost unfortunately to Bayern Munich. The club also made it to the semis of the competition this season but were knocked out by in-form Manchester City.

Speaking to the club website, Neymar said: “It is a great happiness to extend the adventure at Paris Saint-Germain. I am very happy in Paris.”

“It is a real pride to be part of this group, to work with these players, this great coach and to be part of the history of this club. These are things that make me believe even more in this great project.

Here I have grown as a person, as a human being and as a player, too. So I’m very happy to extend and I hope to win many more trophies here.”

Neymar has made a total of 112 appearances for PSG, scoring 85 goals with 51 assists since he made a €222 million switch from Spain to France.

In his first three seasons, he helped the club win three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de la Ligue, two Coupe de France and one Trophée des Champions.
