Omoyele Sowore was reportedly shot at by an armed policewoman with a teargas canister at the Unity Fountain in Abuja Abuja today, May 31. He has been rushed to the hospital.
Omoyele and some other Nigerians were staging a protest to demand an end to insecurity in Nigeria. Sowore was shot close to his hip by a policewoman drafted to the Unity Fountain to disperse the protesters.
