The veteran Gospel singer clocks 51 today.

Well wishes and notes of appreciations have continued to pour for popular Gospel singer, Tope Alabi as she celebrates her 51st birthday on Earth today.

Her family, friends and fans have sent her celebratory messages on her special day, using their social media platforms to send their heartfelt messages.

Celebrating his wife, Soji Alabi took to his Instagram page with a loving message to describe his wife Tope, as his best friend.

“Happy birthday to my best friend, my lovely and dearest wife @tope_alabi_ You will live long to eat the fruit of your labour. No weapon formed against you shall prosper in Jesus name. I celebrate the grace of God in your life. God bless your new age. Love you forever,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Oniduro singer, Adeyinka Alaseyori has also sent her well wishes to someone she views as her mother and senior colleague in the Gospel music industry.

Alaseyori thanked her for ‘holding on strong’ as she believes Tope’s best days have just begun.

“Thank you for breaking limits and boundaries. Thank you for making it possible for most of us to dream. Thanks for holding on strong. Thank you for being all that God has called you to be. A very happy birthday to you ma’am. The best of your days have just begun ma. Congratulations momma,” she wrote.

Earlier this year, a video surfaced online in which Tope Alabi criticised the song “Oniduro Mi” sung by Adeyinka Alaseyori.

The title of the song simply means ‘my guarantor’ in the English, which showers praises on God for never forsaking his own.

Tope criticised the song in the video saying God was more than a guarantor to her. The singer even stated that there was a time she wanted to sing the song but the Holy Spirit ministered to her not to do so.

This revelation sparked up reactions on Twitter with many bashing Tope Alabi for making such comments.

However, the singer of the song, Alaseyori called for peace over the situation as she described Tope as her mother who has blessed many with her ministrations.

She said; “Let Jesus take the wheel. Mummy Tope Alabi is our mother. She’s a mother to me and so many others and by virtue, we have been blessed by her ministrations. Please, let us worship and celebrate God. Let Jesus be at the centre of it.”
