The Premier League’s fixture dates for the 2021/22 season has been released, with fixtures set to begin by August 14.

Reigning champions Manchester City would begin their title defence away to Tottenham on the opening weekend, looking to win a fourth league title in five years.

Last season’s runner-up Manchester United would begin their season when they host old-age foes Leeds United at Old Trafford, while Liverpool take on Championship winners Norwich City at Carrow road.

Meawhile, European Champions Chelsea seem to have the toughest of opening games. They kick-off their season at home to Crystal Palace before facing Arsenal away from home in the London Derby.

Elsewhere in the first round of fixture, FA winners Leceister City face wolves, Everton prepare to face Southampton, Newcastle have a date with West Ham United while Burnley face Brighton.

New boys Brentford would hope to have a good first season in the Premier League when they host Arsenal at home, while Watford have a home game against Aston Villa.

With the 2021-22 season set to follow the traditional format of running through to May 22 next-year, let’s take a look at someone one the tantalising fixtures to look out for.

August 28 would see us a mouth-watering clash between Liverpool and Chelsea with the former hosting the fixture. Then, Pep Guardiola’s City will face Arsenal the same weekend.

The North London Derby between Tottenham and Arsenal will take place on September 25. Later that day, Chelsea will host the champions City at Stamford Bridge.

October appears to be crunch as former champions Liverpool will face reigning champions City on October 2. Jurgen Klopp’s men would then face another title-chsing rival in United at Manchester on the 23rd.

Manchester City are 2020-21 champions of England

The first Manchester Derby of the season will take place at Old Trafford on November 6. At rhe end of that month, the Merseyside derby takes place and the Red devils will face Arsenal once again.

Liverpool will play Leeds on Boxing Day while City will contend with Leceister and Tottenham face London rivals Crystal Palace.

On New year’s day, Chelsea would take on the Reds while Arsenal welcome City to the Emirates Stadium.

City will face Chelsea again on January 15 with the second north London Derby of the season taking place on the same day.

United will host Spurs again on March 12 before clashing with Liverpool the following weekend as the title race should have started heating up by then.

April 24 will see Liverpool and Everton meet again, while Chelsea prepare to travel to Old Trafford on May 15, with the final weekend of the campaign following a week later.
