The prophetess in her Instagram caption appealed to all critics to allow the peace of God reign because of her son with the Ooni, Tadenikawo. She also sent thanks to all her prayer partners and loved ones.

After Naomi announced the end of her marriage with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, many Nigerians creacted to the unexpected news with different reactions and views.

Amongst one of the many Nigerians who ce out on social media to air their views is Communication specialist and multimedia journalist, Adesola Ayo-Aderele, who came out on Facebook to warn people never to confuse the outward affections between couples in public as a sign peace in their marriage.

Adesola addressed the recent news concerning Naomi’s end of marriage with Ooni of Ife in her Facebook post.

She wrote;

Ooni of Ife and his outgoing wife, Silekunola.

That Queen Silekunola has announced her desire to move on without the Ooni is no longer news. She posted her decision via her verified Instagram page over an hour ago.

What is news is the way people sometimes confuse what they see as what they get.

Just last October 17 when Ooni marked his 47th birthday, the show of love between him and his soon-to-be ex-Olori was enviable. She had arranged colourful fireworks for His Imperial Majesty, with the Ooni confessing that the Olori had made unassailable inroads into his heart, promising to love her better than ever.

While the marriage lasted, the Olori would kneel a million times in a minute, complete with serenades while exalting HRM in public, with plenty laughter and loving looks that would make anyone jealous.

And now this!

Queen Silekunola said in her IG post: “I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle… His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self…” Deep sigh

I laugh when I see couples who display affection openly. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with it, what is also not lost on knowledgeable people is that those who try hard to portray perfect marriages are the ones with the worst skeletons to hide.

As for those who model their lives and marriages on other’s flamboyant displays, I advise you to watch a British sitcom called ‘Keeping Up Appearances.’ You will learn more than enough lessons to last a lifetime in a single episode.
