Once again, it is that time of the year for our Muslim brothers and sisters to commence Ramadan.

Ramadan 1443  officially begins in Nigeria, on Saturday the 2nd of April 2022. This date was declared openly by The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

Furthermore, the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, announced that they have sighted the moon so Ramadan commences on Saturday.

Additionally, in Saudi Arabia, the crescent moon has been sighted and Ramanda will equally start on Saturday the 2nd of April 2022. This is the same for many Arab countries.

Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims all over the world. It is the ninth month in the Muslim lunar calendar. Also, Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam.

During this holy month, Muslims engage in spiritual activities such as fasting (from dawn to dusk), prayers and alms-giving. Furthermore, abstaining from sin is one of the characteristics of this season.

Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslim Faithful.
