Divorce is such an expensive venture, no wonder people often say it is “Cheaper to stay married.”

39 years old Kelly Clarkson has finalized her divorce from  Brandon Blackstock. However, it will be taking a dip in the singer’s pocket.

The singer will pay her ex a whopping $1.3 million. This is a one-time payment. However, she will continue to pay her ex $45,601 every month as child support. According to court documents, the payment of the monthly child support started from the 1st of February.

Additionally,  until January, 31st, 2024, she will pay her ex monthly spousal support of $115,000.

The former couple has two children together. River Rose, 7, and Remington Alexander, 5. Despite Kelly having to pay child support, they both have joint custody of their children. Nonetheless, the children are to live with Kelly in her Los Angeles home.

Furthermore, Brandon Blackstock will continue to live at the former couple’s Montana ranch until June. He will however pay $2000 a month to Kelly until he leaves the ranch in June. Nevertheless, Kelly Clarkson will be keeping both of their Montana properties.

Also, their other assets were split up. Blackstock will have the farm cattle, stock dogs, livestock, and horses. He will equally be keeping some cars, CAT snowmobiles, a golf simulator, and some valuable Patek Philippe watches. Still, Kelly gets to keep multiple cars, a flight simulator, and their pets.
