Sound Sultan’s wife celebrates him on his posthumous birthday

The singer’s birthday was meant to be today.

Farida Fasisi, wife of late Nigerian singer, Olarenwaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan has celebrated her late husband on his posthumous birthday.

Today, 27th of November, 2021 was supposed to be the singer’s birthday but that wouldn’t hinder his wife from celebrating him. Taking to her Instagram page, Farida shared a video showing her husband in various stages of his life.

Alongside the video, she stated what she misses most about the singer.

“Olanrewaju Fasasi ‘Oko Farida’ (Farida’s husband),” she started.

“I miss your cheeky gap-toothed smile. I miss your jokes. I miss waking up to guitar strings. Even more, I miss our inside jokes.

“It’s your birthday today. I’ll forever celebrate all that you’ve been to me. I love you, forever and always.”

The singer was pronounced dead on the 11th of July 2021, after battling with Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma.

He was buried in the United States according to Muslim rites.

Tributes kept pouring for the the talented singer, with his wife penning an emotional tribute in his memory.

“My dear Aboo, my nights have been so long and cold since you left me,” she started.

“My sweet gentle husband, the love of my entire life, my world. Thank you for giving me the best of yourself for the past years. Our love was truly perfect and I am totally lost without you.”

Farida also celebrated their marriage on October 1, 2021 on what was suppose to be their 12th wedding anniversary.
