Unilorin 400 level student beats up female lecturer (VIDEO).

Unilorin student beats lecturer over presumed rift

The student in question has since been held in custody of the appropriate law enforcement agency.

A 400 level male student of the University of Ilorin has reportedly beaten a female lecturer of his department over some argument.

This alarming incident occurred at the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of life Sciences of the institution, leading to the former requiring some medical attention.

Although she’s in a stable condition now.

According to reports gathered, the incident occurred at about 9AM on Thursday, 11th of November 2021 after a presumed rift between the student and the female lecturer.

Further investigations are still ongoing to find out what actually happened between the two that led to a physical altercation.

However, it has been said that the student in question (whose name is withheld) has being showing signs of depression for quite sometime now and does not seem to be himself.

“He wasn’t like this before” they said.

While we await an official report on what actually happened, we want to use this medium to advise anyone going through depression to speak up against it. Depression kills and opening us to the right people is the only way to curb its effect on individuals.
