Today, parishioners were gruesomely attacked and murdered in St Francis Catholic Church Owo in Ondo State, Nigeria.
The innocent parishioners were in church for mass when murderers attacked the unarmed congregation. Consequently, about fifty people are allegedly dead.

On this day, June 5th 2022, a place of worship was desecrated with the blood of its worshippers.
Ondo State is located in western Nigeria which is usually one of the safest regions to practice any religion. Therefore, this church massacre is unusual and beyond terrifying.
Also, according to the laid down human rights, the Right to Religion is a fundamental human right. Thus, it is despicable that people were killed while they were simply exercising their rights as human beings.
Currently, Nigeria awfully reeks of the blood of her citizens. This country has never been more unsafe and terrorised.
Lately, it appears that our security has been thrown to the wind. Indeed, our safety is lost in an ocean of incompetency daily showcased by our leaders and security operatives.
