I was viewing WhatsApp of late and I jumped into a post that said I rather be razz and real than be tush and fake Which brought me to the question, What does it mean to be real?
These days we hear a lot of young people say they are real, everything they do is real and it makes me wonder, what we all classify as being real. Some people think being cruel, arrogant, tough, hard and speaking their mind out without caring about who it hurts is what being real is, some also think being caring, affectionate towards people is being real, while some others think being religious is what being real is, but are they right by saying that’s what being real is.
When you hear people tell you all the time that you ain’t real, or you ain’t doing things real, what they are trying to say in general is that you are not acting the way they want you to. I believe there is no such thing as being real from a person’s perspective.
Being real is personal, and being real to me is not forgetting who you are as a person. Your beliefs, your values, and you dont care whether you get accepted because of that or not and you are also not trying to force your beliefs and values towards other people. That’s what being real is.
A lot of us aren’t even real, and we get our definition of what real is, from other people forgetting being real is personal and we try to change who we actually are because other people say we are not being real.so whenever you hear anyone say, they are real, they do things real( that’s pure ignorance) cause they don’t even know what real is.
Lastly, When you are real, you tend to keep a small circle, and there is a high tendency for you to not be really recognized by the public, but trust me when I say, the people who like you for being you, are the realest people cause it takes a real person to also know a real person.

And perfect people don’t exist, so don’t pretend to be one
I don’t need pats on the back from people for my achievements
When I die I wanna know that I lived for a reason

Absolutely correct. People are capable of making us forget who we are.
People use our past mistakes to define what they feel we should be.
There is a difference between here and there and it’s the T in there which represents time.
Keep being you, keep getting better and putting God first, very soon the Real People will see the Real You and those are the people worth embracing for a life time and beyond.
