Will Smith Receives Ten Years Ban From the Oscar

Fourteen days after Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, the Academy announced that as punishment Will Smith has been banned from the Oscars for ten years.

The legendary actor slapped comedian Chris Rock after he made a joke about his wife’s hair condition. Jada is known to be battling alopecia which resulted in her shaving off her hair.

This singular act became a topic of discussion for days and took the shine from every other event that occurred that day.

Anyways, Will gets to keep his Oscar award but cannot attend any Oscar events from the next decade. Nevertheless, he can still be nominated for awards and possibly win. However, if he wins, he would not be there to accept his award.

On the 28th of May, Will Smith won his first Oscars but this was overshadowed by his act of slapping Chris Rock which became the hottest topic. 

Funny enough, Jada gets to keep attending the Oscars.
