Wizkid postpones Canadian album tour due to Covid-19 fears

The superstar singer has postponed the show to a latter date due to COVID-19 conditions.

Grammy award-winning singer and Nigerian superstar, Wizkid has postponed his proposed Canadian tour of his Made in Lagos album due to Covid-19 restrictions in the country.

The singer took to his twitter handle to annouce the postponement of the concert on Wednesday stating public health restrictions by the Canadian government as a reason for the postponement.

He wrote; “Due to existing and public health measures being introduced by the Canadian Government, I will no longer be able to perform my Canadian shows in January. I’m looking forward to returning as soon as possible.”

Wizkid leveraged on the success of his Made In Lagos album which has brought him to greater heights.

After impressive run of shows in the United States, the singer proceeded to the UK were he sold out the popular O2 arena.

He was suppose to take the rest of the tour to major cities in Canada like Toronto, Ottawa, British Colombia and others.

However, the new Omicron variant of the Covid-19 virus has put an halt to that as fans of the singer would have to wait for a later date.
