A young Nigerian man named Jide Sanya who graduated with first class in Electrical and Electronics Engineering has sent an appreciation post to the people who sponsored his education including popular musician, Davido.
According to the young man, Davido and others had sponsored his education ensuring that he didn’t drop out.
The young man made the joyous announcement on his Twitter handle on March 8.
In his tweet, Jide gives a summary of his grass to grace story of how he left England because he had no money, and how through Davido’s and others contribution to his GoFundMe account he was able to resume his schooling in Afe-Babalola University in Nigeria, where he graduated with a first class in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Reacting to his tweet, Davido sent a message to him saying that he is very happy about his success.
Jide’s tweet has since garnered over 15,000 likes and nearly 3,000 retweets, with many commending Davido for his good nature and generosity.
