Police arrest 8 of Davido’s domestic staff over son’s death

The Nigerian Police Force has also confirmed the news surrounding the death of the child as true.

In a new report that surfaced this morning, the Nigerian Police have arrested eight of Davido’s domestic workers over the death of his son Ifeanyi Adeleke.

According to reports, Ifeanyi Adeleke drowned in a pool at his father’s home on Monday, 31st October, 2022.

An anonymous source confirmed that the news is true but an official statement would soon be released.

“The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” a family source claimed.

“By the time they rushed him to Lagoon Hospital it was already too late”.

Following reports of the singer’s son death, the police have arrested eight workers at Davido’s House including Ifeanyi’s nanny.

Spokesman to the Lagos State Police, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that the incident happened at the singer’s house and an investigation into the matter has commenced.

“Yes, we have invited eight people over the death of his son,” he said.

Ifeanyi is Davido and Chioma’s son who recently celebrated his third birthday on October 20. Although the family is yet to issue an official statement, news of their son’s death has thrown social media into mourning.

Celebrities and many other well-wishers of the family have been sympathizing with the family since the news broke on Friday.
