The question remains: is it time for Africa to shine?

Morocco has knocked out Portugal from the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup, after a crunch quarter-final encounter.

The fairytale continues for Moroccans and the whole of Africa as they continue to exceed expectations at the tournament.

With the game approaching half-time, it was En-Nesyri who rose highest to head in Yahya Attiat-Allah’s cross in the 42nd minute- a goal that would prove to be the winner.

Portugal huffed and puffed, dazzled and rattled the defence of Morocco, but they stood their ground to see out a famous win.

The Atlas Lions have become the first African country in history to qualify for the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup.

With a teary Cristiano Ronaldo storming down the tunnel, it was all jubilation for the North Africans who would now face one of England or France in the semi-finals of the tournament.
