2023 Election: Rivers will determine Nigeria’s next president- Wike

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has given advice to the prospective runners for 2023 presidential election in Nigeria to secure votes in Rivers and combine with Kano or Lagos in order to win the election.

Wike said that such a pivotal position established the importance of Rivers state in the political activities of the country, the Nation reports.

Wike also noted that nobody would be allowed to undermine the importance of Rivers in the political affairs of the country.

According to Legit.ng, Governor Wike, in a statement by his special assistant on media, Kelvin Ebiri, spoke at the grand finale of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) local government election campaign at Ulakwo in Eche local government on Thursday, April 15th.

He Said;

“I keep telling the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that no state has given more votes to the party than Rivers. And it is only in Rivers, in the whole south-south, that the All Progressive Congress (APC)  didn’t get 25℅ votes in the 2019 general election. We taught them a lesson.”
