Bayern Munich suspend Sadio Mane over ‘misconduct’ after Champions league match at Man-City

The Senegalese will miss the match against Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

Bayern Munich superstar winger Sadio Mane has been suspended for one match following his drrssing room altercation with Leroy Sane on Tuesday night.

The incident, which took place on and off the pitch, has been visited by the club with the two players apologising to the team.

According to reports, the pair clashed during Bayern’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Mane was reported to have punched Leroy Sane in the face after the game.

After considering their options, the German giants have banned Mane for a game and also handed him a fine.

The club’s statement reads: “Sadio Mane, 31, will not be included in the FC Bayern squad for this Saturday’s home match against 1899 Hoffenheim. This is due to his misconduct after Bayern’s Champions League match at Manchester City. Mane will also be given a fine.”
