Nigerians in the UK share how crying has become a norm

The Japa community in the UK have gone on Twitter to share how crying has become a norm for adult Nigerians.

In a post shared by an Instagram blog, not less than 4 experts in the United Kingdom, have shared how crying has now become a regular occurrence.

According to them, many Nigerians back home assume that the grass is greener on the other side until they experience things themselves. One of them revealed how he has had to cry himself to sleep a lot of times, only to pick himself back up in the morning.

He also spoke about the one time he caught a lady crying in her sleep. Another recalled one of his friends who insisted on going back to Nigeria, as he couldn’t cope anymore.

A tweet by one Adedapo reads:

“Na for UK I understand wetin depression mean. Cried myself to sleep many times and woke up to try and go again. Bro. Life hard. I thought mine was hard, not until I saw a girl crying in her sleep. You don’t have to believe me. But she wasn’t awake but she was shedding tears.”

Another reads:

“A friend who came in this January said he is going back home to face his business, He can’t cope again. Crying is now normal for all adults in the UK”
