The remarkable feat is set to make the Guinness World Records listing.
A 400-level student of the Department of Statistics, University of Ilorin, has set a new world record for the fastest time devoted to completing five skin fade haircuts.
Qudus Owoyemi accomplished this feat in 14 minutes, 56 seconds, and 83 milliseconds, beating the previous record of 18 minutes and 57 seconds.
According to the University bulletin issued on Monday, the event took place on the 25th of January at the University and is expected to make the Guinness World Book of Records listing.
It also stated that not only is Owoyemi good at his craft, he is also extraordinary in his academics. He is a University scholar with an impressive CGPA of 4.87.
The event was witnessed by the Sub-Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Mohammed Garba, and the Student Union President, Joseph Ologundudu.
Reacting to the achievement, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, lauded Owoyemi’s achievement adding that the University was very proud of his feat.
Egbewole also encouraged other students to pursue their passions, adding that the University would continue to support innovations and lofty ideals which would elevate the institution’s reputation.
