AFCON 2025 Qualifier: Benin coach, Rohr unveils squad for Super Eagles clash

Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr has unveiled his squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Nigeria.

Rohr, who was once in charge of the Super Eagles of Nigeria included 25 players in the squad.

Captain Steve Mounie and Jodel Dossou who scored the goals in the Cheetahs 2-1 victory over the Super Eagles in June were named in the squad.

Veteran goalkeeper, Saturnin Allagbe, England-based defender Cedric Hountondji and enterprising midfielder Junior Olaitan were also selected by Rohr.

The Cheetahs will be the guests of Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday, September 7.

The West Africans will host the Mediterranean Knights of Libya three days later in Abidjan.
