Alex Iwobi Scores His First Goal for Fulham

Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, is off the mark for his Premier League club Fulham.

Alex Iwobi opened the scoring for the Craven Cottage club as they played Wolves on Monday night.

The former Everton man got on the end of a cross inside the box and hooked his finish past Jose Sa.

Kemi Filani had reported that Iwobi entered the record book of the Premier League.

His strike that helped Everton beat Newcastle 1-0 at Goodison Park in the 2021/2022 season has been ranked as the 4th latest winning goal ever scored in the history of the English top flight.

Iwobi’s goal was timed at 98.20 minutes.

The goal is only behind those of Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski’s winning strike (99.53 minutes) against Newcastle in September; Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes’ (99.45 minutes) for Manchester United against Brighton in the 2020/2021 season; and Sheffield United’s Oliver Norwood’s strike (99.17 minutes) strike in their 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in November 2023
