Anthony Anderson’s wife files for divorce after 22 years of marriage

The couple divorced first in 2015 but got back together in 2017.

Alvina Stewart, wife of Hollywood actor and comedian, Anthony Anderson has filed for a divorce after 22 years of marriage.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Alvina cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Although, the date of the divorce is yet to be decided.

Alvina, however, has requested spousal support but not child support from the 51-year old actor and also wants attorney fees to be paid by him.

Furthermore, the mother of two has requested that properties acquired during their marriage be treated as community property and split between the two.

The filing also listed that “All gifts and inheritance, all assets, earnings, accumulations, and debts acquired by [Alvina] before the date of marriage and after the date of separation, the exact nature and extent of which are unknown.”

This is not the first time Alvina would file for a divorce. In 2015, she filed for divorce citing the same “irreconcilable differences” as a reason, although she stated April 1, 2014, as the separation date.

Two years later, Alvina rescinded her decision and reconciled with the black-ish actor.

Anderson and Alvina were high school sweethearts who got married in 1999. Their marriage is blessed with two children; Nathan, 22 and Kyra, 26.
