APC suspends chairman who wished for Buhari to get killed by Covid-19.

A leaked video has brought about the suspension of Suleiman Adamu, the council chairman of APC Yola South LGA.

In the leaked video, Suleiman is seen wishing for President Muhammadu Buhari’s get killed by Covid-19.

The suspended APC chairman was also heard in the leaked video, saying that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo would make a better President if Buhari had died.

TVC News reports that the decision was taken by the State Working Committee (SWC), the body also set a disciplinary committee regarding the issue to investigate Suleiman’s allegations of misconduct and utterances.

The statement signed by the State caretaker publicity secretary, Mohammed Abdullai, contained Suleiman’s immediate suspension.

Part of the Statement read;

“In the light of the above, we had an emergency SWC meeting today (10/08/2021) where the audio clip was played, digested and deliberated upon.

“At the end it was observed that some of the words/remarks in the audio clip were not unfortunate and require further investigation.

“In order to ensure unhindered investigation and fair hearing, the SWC has resolved that the APC caretaker Chairman, Yola South Government, (Alh. Suleiman Adamu) who is a member of the State Executive Committee be suspended pending the outcome of the investigation by the 7-man disciplinary committee.”
