Asake receives a BRIT Silver plaque for ‘Work of Art’

He was also awarded a sold-out plaque for selling out the famous O2 Arena for the second time.

On Saturday, 21 September 2024, Asake headlined the famous 02 Arena – his next stop for his ‘Lungu Boy’ world tour.

As expected, Asake wowed fans with a rendition of his hit records at the sold-out concert, which had Wizkid and famous actor Idris Elba in attendance.

During the show, Asake was presented with his sold-out plaque and a BRIT silver plaque for ‘Work of Art’ by Idris Elba, who also offered him words of encouragement.

‘Work of Art’ became Asake’s second album to receive a BRIT silver plaque after his debut album, ‘Mr Money With The Vibe’. His third studio album ‘Lungu Boy’ also looks oncourse to achieve the same feat.

His headline act at the O2 Arena, means he joins Afrobeats stars Wizkid and Davido as the only Nigerians to have sold out the Arena more than once.
