Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ album reaches new heights few hours after release

The album reaches No. 2 on the US Apple Music chart.

Following up on his recent global ascension, Asake released his much-awaited third studio album titled ‘Lungu Boy’ on August 9, 2024.

The album features collaborations from several superstars such as Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid, British rappers Central Cee and Stormzy, American superstar Travis Scott, and Brazilian singer Ludmila.

Asake’s latest album has witnessed a quick rise, reaching No.2 on the Apple Music charts (UK and US) after its release. This achievement means Asake equals the record of the highest-charting Nigerian album on the platform – a record jointly held by Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them’ and Davido’s ‘Timeless’.

The album becomes Asake’s third album to reach that milestone following his debut album ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ and his sophomore album ‘Work of Art’.

With many hits to his name already, Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ album is his third in three years, showcasing his divine music talent which places him at the very top currently.
