Banky W appreciates wife for showing him support while he was battling with addiction to pornography

The singer-turned-pastor was full of praise for his wife while dishing out a sermon in church.

Banky W showered praises on his wife for standing by him during a time of his life where he was addicted to pornography.

While giving a sermon titled “The prison of pornography”, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, Banky W spoke bravely about his past addiction to porn, while he thanked his wife for the support she showed him.

“If I don’t thank God for anything in my life, I thank God for this woman,” he said while pointing at his wife, Adesua Etomi in the front row.

The entertainer-turn-preacher also emphasised the significance of having a reliable companion, as he urged the congregation to do so.

As he continued with the sermon, Banky W highlighted how he would keep his wife call his wife repeatedly and keep her on the phone for long hours just to strengthen his resolve to fight the temptation of watching adult movies.

He also likened the human brain to a powerful machine capable of sticking to its guts, if only it is allowed to do so.

“You decide which thoughts to focus on. You decide what comes in, what goes out, what gets to stay.”

“You can not wheel a thought out of your mind. You can’t get it out of your mind because it has been suggested to you. You can only replace it with a more powerful thought. You can only replace the thoughts that the devil suggests with a truth that God says, so you’ll renew your mind with the words of God.”

Banky W gave the sermon shortly after he was accused of cheating on his wife on social media. He nor his wife, has refused to comment on the accusations.
