Atiku expressed his deepest condolences over the death of the monarch.
Another prominent monarch of the Yoruba Tribe, the Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, has passed away at the age of 86.
His death was annouced in a statement signed by the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Chief Yinka Fasuyi, which was made available to the Punch.
According to reports, there was anxiety over the health of the monarch before his death. He was said to be indisposed.

Meanwhile, former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has expressed his deepest condolences over the death of the monarch via his official X account.
Atiku described Oba Aromolaran as a symbol of courage, boldness, and discipline, characterictic of the Ijesa People.
The late Oba Aromolaran ascended the throne on February 20, 1982, and spent 42 years on the throne.
He was also the Chairman, Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers before his demise.
