An uncertain number of Chibok Girls who were kidnapped from their school in Borno State by Boko Haram have reportedly escaped from the custody of their kidnapers.

Several Chibok Girls Reunited With Their Families After Escaping From Boko Haram Custody

Reports gathered say that the father of Halima Ali, who is one of the kidnapped Chibok girls, Daily Trust that he has been contacted by security officials.

Also, sources close to Halima Ali’s father, Ali Maiyanga, confirmed that family members and friends flooded his house to congratulate upon his daughter’s escape.

To support the claim, Lawal Zannah who is the secretary of the Chibok Parents Association confirmed the news of the escape, although he also noted that he yet to ascertain the precise number of Chibok girls that escaped from Boko Haram custody.

Lawal said;

“We heard that some of our girls have escaped from the forest, but we are yet to get the detail of their number.”
