It has been revealed that all the British High Commission offices in Abuja, Lagos and across the country will be closed on Monday.
The UK Mission in Nigeria made the announcement in a terse statement on its social media accounts.
The closure is in observance of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, it noted.
The notice, however, added that Visa Application Centres in Abuja and Lagos will remain open.
A service of remembrance was held for the Queen on Thursday at the Cathedral Church of Advent in the nation’s capital.
The final resting place of the late Commonwealth head will be at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, next to her husband, Prince Philip.
The Queen of England was born on April 21, 1926, in London. She passed away on September 8, 2022, at Balmoral Castle.
