Chelsea star gets stripped off his shirt number as relationship with club worsens

The English forward’s future at the club is up in the air

Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling has been stripped off his shirt number despite still being at the club.

The England international No. 7 jersey has been given to new signing Pedro Neto, who joined from Wolves during the current transfer window.

This development is the latest twist in the Sterling saga that has erupted over the past few days. He was left put of the Chelsea matchday squad that faced Manchester City in the Premier League opener, which prompted his representatives to ask for clarity concerning his future.

According to reports, the 29-year-old has been training on his own after he was told by head coach Enzo Maresca that he will struggle for playing time this season.
