Court sends Ice Prince Zamani to Ikoyi prison following Alleged Assualt

A magistrate court sitting in the Ajah area, orders the remand of veteran singer-songwriter, Ice Prince Zamani at the Ikoyi correctional facility following an alleged assault on a policeman.

The ‘Oleku’ hitmaker was arrested on Friday, September 2, 2022, for allegedly abducting a police officer who had faulted him for driving without a license plate.

Following the arrest, the singer was arraigned on a three-count charge –assault, obstruction and abduction of a policeman– by the Lagos Police Command.

The singer, however, pleaded not guilty to all the charges that were read to him.

The Jos-born singer was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 and was also requested to provide two sureties.

The accused is to remain in Ikoyi prison until he satisfies his bail conditions.
