Cristiano Ronaldo annouces the passing away of his newborn son

The forward has called for privacy as they mourn the death a the new born baby.

Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has announced the passing away of his newborn son and also asks for privacy at this time.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner revealed this on Monday via an Instagram post, signed by him and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.

Ronaldo also annouced the birth of a baby girl, although, he previously stated that the pair had been expecting twins.

A statement on the Portuguese forward Instagram reads: “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away.”
“It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.

“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.

“We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel.

“We will always love you.”

Ronaldo is a father to four other children, sons Cristiano Jr. and Matteo, and daughters Alana and Eva.
