Cristiano Ronaldo trains again for the first time at Carrington

The Portuguese superstar returns to where he first garnered fame as a footballer.

Cristiano Ronaldo has spent his first day back at United at Carrington training ground as he looks forward to a second stint at the club.

Ronaldo has reported for training for the first time as a new United player after leaving the club more than a decade ago, with the special moment captured by photographers on set.

Back at familiar territory, Ronaldo reported to training on Tuesday as he gets set for his second debut for the club that made him who he his today.

Firstly, Ronaldo took time to familiarise with coach and former team mate Ole Gunner Solskjaer, before heading to training with other players of the team.

Ronaldo completed a transfer to Manchester United for a £25 million fee, before joining Portugal for international duties.

However, he was released from the squad after picking up a suspension in a match which saw him break the men’s international goalscoring record.

He would be looking to make his second debut for the club when Manchester United take on Newcastle at Old Trafford.
