EPL: Alonso predicts what’ll happen to Saul Niguez Chelsea

Chelsea defender, Marcos Alonso, has predicted that teammate, Saul Niguez, will turn out to be ‘very good’ for the Blues despite his slow start at Stamford Bridge.

Niguez joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day.

But the 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact under Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, so far this season.

The midfielder was hauled off at halftime during his Premier League debut against Aston Villa last month.

Speaking on Niguez’s slow start at Chelsea, Alonso told Cadena SER: “Well, he’s a newcomer.

“He’s in the adaptation phase, but he is a great player and he is going to be very good for us.”

Niguez will hope to feature for Chelsea in their next game against Brentford after the international break.
