Chuba Akpom was in buoyant mood after helping Ajax beat Polish club, Jagiellonia Białystok in a UEFA Europa League playoff tie on Thursday night.
Ajax won the first leg fixture 4-1 with Akpom netting a hat-trick.
The Nigerian-born striker equalised for the Eredivisie giants in the first half before hitting target twice after the break.
The forward could not hold back his excitement after the game.
“It’s amazing. I thank God. I thank my teammates and all the staff for all the support. I had my best match in an Ajax shirt today (Thursday) so I’m happy,” Akpom told Ajax TV.
“Scoring is what I thrive on; it’s what I love to do, so when it’s not happening, it gets frustrating but I’m a very positive and persistent person, so I say thank you to the coach for the trust.”
