The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), has annouced May 24 as the official opening date of the portal for student loan applications.
This was disclosed on Thursday in a statement by the the Managing Director of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr.
Sawyerr stated that this development marks a significant milestone in the commitment of President Bola-Ahmed Tinubu to foster accessible and inclusive education for all Nigerian students.
According to the director, students can now have pursue their academic aspirations without financial constraints.
He added that the portal has been made user-friendly to ensure students submit their loan applications conveniently.
“We encourage all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity to invest in their future and contribute to the growth and development of our nation,” he said.
To begin their application, Sawyerr urged students to access the portal on www.nelf.gov.ng
